We are the only Korean company offering a flood management system and aim to enter the overseas market with the following differentiators:Our sediment and sand removal technology is installed simultaneously with the product, ensuring the infiltration retention tank remains functional by effectively handling sediment during pre-treatment.Our infiltration retention tank can be installed at heights over 6 meters without structural modifications, preventing issues like subsidence and twisting. An easy-to-clean internal pathway allows for regular maintenance, preventing sediment accumulation and ensuring continuous infiltration efficiency. When installed with the product, our sediment and sand removal technology eliminates 90% of suspended solids (SS). Facilities for both infiltration retention and water reuse can also be installed upon request. The product can be adjusted based on site design to accommodate heights over 6 meters without structural changes. Sediment and sand removal is facilitated by installed work pathways, allowing for easy maintenance with manpower and suction facilities.https://lnkd.in/g5GDFNRF,https://lnkd.in/gZWUgmGj,https://lnkd.in/g-nMhqJZ,https://lnkd.in/gFXF-Viv,

We are so excited to see Klamath River dam removal proceeding ahead of schedule and with excellent results! It really is a testament to the power of engineering, which built the dams but can also remove them when they've outlived their usefulness or start causing more harm than good. The KLAMATH RIVER RENEWAL CORPORATION has received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to begin deconstruction of Copco No. 1 Dam. With the initial phase of reservoir drawdown complete, the dam is fully exposed and can safely be disassembled. Copco No.1 Dam can be deconstructed before the spring run off period has concluded because it is a concrete arch dam. So, should the river experience a significant flow event this spring, water could safely pass over the partially deconstructed concrete dam, and the dam would remain securely in place. The Copco No. 1 Dam removal plan was specifically designed to allow for this safe flow passing, should it occur. The other two dams awaiting removal -- Iron Gate and JC Boyle -- are clay core earthen dams, as opposed to concrete. They will remain at their full height until the risk for flood has subsided. Although work to remove associated structures at these sites continues, deconstruction of Iron Gate and JC Boyle Dams will not start until the full reservoir drawdown period has concluded and the river has returned to baseline flows after spring run-off from snow in the mountains. This will likely be sometime in May, depending on precipitation.Go team Klamath! Dam removal is the first step, but a crucial one to restoring balance in the Klamath River Basin by restoring access for salmon to 400 miles of historic habitat, helping stop the decline of this West Coast fishery so crucial to Indigenous communities, rural economies, and commercial fisheries.Photo courtesy of Swiftwater Films

A dam spillway is a crucial safety feature of a dam. It is a controlled passage that allows excess water to flow out of the reservoir when the water level rises above a predetermined level. This prevents the dam from overflowing, which could lead to catastrophic failure. Here are the different types of spillways:Overflow spillways:These are the most common type of spillway. They are typically located at the top of the dam and consist of a concrete weir or chute that directs water over the dam face.Overflow spillwaySide channel spillways:These spillways are located to the side of the dam and consist of a channel that diverts water around the dam.Side channel spillwayShaft spillways:These spillways are also known as morning glory spillways. They are funnel-shaped structures that direct water down a shaft into a tunnel that leads downstream.Shaft spillwaySpillways are designed to safely handle a wide range of flow rates, from small releases to major floods. They are typically made of concrete, but they can also be made of earth or rock. The size and design of a spillway will depend on the size of the dam, the amount of water that it is designed to store, and the local hydrology. Here are some of the important functions of a dam spillway:Prevent overtopping:Spillways prevent the dam from overflowing, which could lead to catastrophic failureControl downstream flow:Spillways can be used to control the flow of water downstream, which can help to prevent flooding.Reduce erosion:Spillways can be designed to dissipate the energy of water, which helps to prevent erosion downstream.Generate hydropower:Some spillways are equipped with turbines that can generate hydroelectric power.

🌊 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝘿𝙤 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙍𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙬?The mini flume shows the flow of water in a simple channel, driven by a system of recirculating pumps. The mini flume is particularly useful in helping to understand some of the causes of flooding and how good design and maintenance of rivers and drainage channels can help to manage flood risk.It shows scale models of typical engineered structures such as:𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬, 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬✅ 𝐖𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬: This structure increases the water level upstream and decreases the water level downstream. A weir is typically usedto prevent flooding, measure water flow, and hold water.✅ 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭:This structure creates a scouring effect downstream of the river flow. ✅ 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝:The skewed structure increases the water level upstream and decreases the water level downstream more than the straight bridge pier. This structure also creates a scouring effect downstream of the river flow. ✅ 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭:This structure is used to transport water underneath infrastructure (Railroads and Roads). This system obstructs the flow of water as a result the water level upstream rises. The velocity of flow increases downstream from the system.✅ 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬:Introducing a tapered entry into a culvert system will reduce the upstream water levels. This allows the water to flow more freely into the culvert. ✅ 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬:Culvert screens at the inlet of a culvert are designed to prevent debris from entering the culvert and causing a blockage. This structure can increase the upstream flow as seen in the demonstration.✅ 𝐕𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐱 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞:These are used to regulate the flow out of ponds and reservoirs. These devices keep the flow rate constant even if the upstream water level increases.Source: YT JBA Trust..............................................................................................................................All rights and credits are reserved to the respective owner(s).#civilengineering #hydraulics #structuralengineering #flowcontrol #floodcontrol #constructionengineering #interestingengineering #future #technology #projectmanagers

Modified morning glory spillway. Aflux can be highly reduced and then height of the dam might be reduced. very attractive structure.
