The worst was some of the rules but the best was the experience. Coming here my senior year I thought I'd hate it here but I don't,kinda.

My experience at jasper high school has been great nonetheless. The best parts were definitely playing sports with my friends and building bonds with my Teachers, the staff, and overall the attachment to the school itself. I love how it's not too big of a school so I know almost everyone there. The worst parts are usually not having enough teachers to receive the proper learning for certain classes that me or some students find interesting. Overall it is a great School.

I had a great experience throughout my schooling at Jasper ISD. From the teachers to the counselors, everyone cared about the students. I had a coach my 8th grade year that changed my way of thinking. I was always a good student and well mannered but he gave me the confidence to believe I could try anything and just do my best. The teachers there are encouraging and motivating and always trying to guide you down the right path to make you successful.

I loved some of the teachers at jasper high-school. they made my senior year fun as well as my other years. One thing I didn’t like was that sometimes favoritism was shown to some students. For example in all my 4 years of high-school not once did I see a boy get dressed coded, but I seen countless girls get dressed code for the same thing a boy was wearing and that’s just not right.

Jasper Independent School district is a versatile workplace. An excellent place to send your children to learn, without a doubt. The best educators in the district. Tutoring offered. All types of sports are offered. Young and old children's activities. Great educators with a love of teaching. A passion for students.

I feel like the school was alright they focused more on sports than academics which wasn’t right. Most teachers aren’t that great and we didn’t have to do much work which was a waste because they should have been preparing us for college.

I would love to see more support for the arts. It is definitely a small-town school where football is a priority over everything, including academics.

My High School was pretty decent. It wasn’t too small nor was it too big for the students, it felt a little bit like home and I definitely enjoyed learning from my teachers whom were all my favorites.

I believe the more that you get involved in activities the more enjoyable your experience will be. Personally I got into every club that I possibly could and I got to see a lot about the high school experience. There are many organizations that sell snacks before lunch, although the food is terrible you still have an alternative to look forward to. I also love my teachers they made the experience worthwhile they made sure everyone understood the topics discussed.

I went to school in Jasper my 12 years of school. I have to wear hearing aids and the teachers wear a fm system that helps me hear them. I liked riding the bus when I was little. In elementary the teachers made it fun. Now all the teachers focus on is teaching the state test. Pushing all the material on us and it is not even on the test. It is terrible.
Jasper can not keep teachers. The administration does not help teachers with discipline. Fights break out every day. We have police officer at the campas. We have alot of sports but the main ones are football, baseball, and girls soccer. The student body enjoys supporting the athletes.

The school education system could really be better. There needs to be more teachers on campus especially considering that Texas has a very hard standardized test. Along with better education the schoool needs to be more connected with students and not just announcements but with a lot more oppoutunites for students to get higher grades and test scores.

Jasper is a school where academics comes before anything else. I have been taught that no matter how much I love the game of basketball or hanging out with my friends, my grades are most important. Jasper has also helped me ready myself for college by offering me dual credit courses and AP classes where I was able to get a taste of what college is like.

I really enjoyed having the opportunity to live a new experience in high school. In JHS they teach you how to prepare for the real world . The only complain I have about JHS and would like to change is how unfair the teachers can be , marking you absent for not having an ID and coming home to your parents thinking that you skipped is absolutely the worst.

I have went to Jasper High School for four years now and all in all it is a good school to attend. There are days that are worse than others though. There have been quite a few altercations between students, but that is just something that comes with all the diversity.

Jasper High School has been quite the experience. What i love is the school spirit that is among the staff and students. Academically, all core classes have everything necessary, all textbooks provided etc. As well as some very talented teachers who enjoy their job. The school is very diverse in both race, and culture, with plenty of unique personalities floating around here and there from the students and teachers. Jasper High school, as well as the other surrounding school have been undergoing some very needed updates, which i appreciate. There is a new band hall at the junior high, new football and baseball/softball feilds and the school is up to date. The school is growing in size, which brings me to the one thing i think needs to change. The school is a little small for the size of the student body within.

This school is amazing. The people you hang out with really defines your future for the school. So make sure you're with the right people, if not well expect a different outcome.

I have enjoyed my time in Jasper, I am an athlete, and very involved with my school. I don't really know how other high schools are but i'm sure Jasper High School is a very special school. We are very diverse which I enjoy since some schools around here are not. I am doing NHS, Student council, soccer, cross country, and cheer so i was a most events when something was happening. I think at Jasper High School we are just one big family because everyone knows everyone since it's a small town as well as a small school. Our principle knows a lot of students by name and he smiles all the time, he has such an amazing school spirit. He even asked one of my cheerleader teammates to make him some pants that saying principle and bulldog pride. I'm very sad to be leaving my bulldogs but my time is up at this school.

Although Jasper High School was overall good, I would recommend changing some of the staff members, as well as how they reviewed their staff. We had several staff members who were sports coaches, who also "taught" a subject. Their classes were often known as the blow off classes, due to the staff members not actually giving lessons or classwork. I feel that all classes should be challenging and a learning experience.

Some of the teachers where really good as far as giving one on one to use students and what I think needs to be changed is the bullies and how some teachers teach they need more teaching them self
