ECNL GIRLS FINALS DAY TWO: 10 TEAMS BOOK THEIR SPOTS TO THE ECNL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES (2024)

The second day of action from the ECNL Girls Finals meant 10 teams punched their tickets to ECNL National Championship Games, while in the ECNL Girls Regional League Finals, 20 teams advanced into Friday’s semifinal matches following an exciting slate of quarterfinal games.

In the U17 Champions League, it took penalty kicks for the second day in a row for Legends FC to book their spot in the ECNL National Championship Game over Penn Fusion SA, after the two sides finished regulation tied at 1-1. Legends will take on Southwest Conference rival Beach FC (CA) in the title game, following their 1-0 semifinal victory over Indy Eleven Pro Academy.

The U16 National Championship Game will be a battle between Crossfire Academy and Penn Fusion SA, following both sides semifinal victories on Thursday. Crossfire advanced past FC Stars Blue 3-2 to make it to the championship game, while Penn Fusion SA defeated De Anza Force 4-1 to punch their ticket to the title game.

At the U15 age group, Kansas City Athletics and San Diego Surf are the final two teams standing, after they each picked up one goal victories in their semifinal games. Surf advanced past Solar SC by a 2-1 score to move into the championship game, while Kansas City Athletics defeated Eclipse Select SC 3-2 to book their spot in the final.

Slammers FC HB Køge have so far kept their hopes alive for a repeat ECNL National Championship at the G10 age group, after they advanced to the U14 Championship Game following a thrilling 4-3 win over San Diego Surf in their semifinal matchup. Legends FC will stand in their way in the title game though, after their 2-1 win over Michigan Hawks in the semifinals.

At the U13 age group, it’s an all California showdown for the championship, as San Diego Surf defeated Slammers FC HB Køge 2-1 to reach the championship game, where they will face off against So Cal Blues, who defeated FC Stars Blue 2-0 to book their spot in the title game.

All ten ECNL National Championship Finalists will be off on Friday and the five ECNL National Champions will be crowned when the teams are back in action on Saturday.

In the ECNL Girls Regional League Finals, Albion Hurricanes won a high scoring 5-4 quarterfinal battle over HEX FC Bucks to advance into the semifinals of the U17 age group, where they’ll take on Beach FC (CA) who advanced into the semifinals on penalty kicks over West Side Alliance. The other side of the bracket will feature Legends FC taking on FC Copa Academy in the semifinals. Legends advanced past FC Wichita 4-0, while FC Copa Academy defeated GTFC Impact 3-2.

GTFC Impact and KC Fusion will meet in the U16 ECNL Regional League semifinals after both sides picked up clean sheet wins over PDA White and Richmond Strikers. The other side of the bracket sees Sting Dallas Black taking on Slammers FC, after Sting defeated Legends 2-0 in the quarterfinals, while Slammers advanced past Solar SC on penalty kicks.

Solar SC and West Side Alliance will meet in one of Friday’s U15 ECNL Regional League semifinals, after Solar defeated Internationals SC in the quarterfinals, while West Side Alliance advanced past SUSA FC on penalty kicks. The other semifinal will be contested by Beach FC (CA) after they defeated Colorado EDGE in the quarterfinals, and Legends FC, following their penalty kick shootout win over the Albany Alleycats.

In the U14 ECNL Regional League Finals, Connecticut FC picked up a win over Real Colorado Olympico to book their spot in the final four, where they will take on MVLA who advanced past Coastal Rush 2-1. The other semifinal will feature Beach FC (CA) and PSA Monmouth, after they picked up quarterfinal wins over FC Dallas and NWI Lions United, respectively.

Lastly, in the U13 ECNL Regional League Finals, Quickstrike FC picked up a 3-0 quarterfinal win over DKSC to book their place in the semifinals. Quickstrike will take on Solar SC, following their 3-1 win over Scorpions SC. In the other semifinal, So Cal Blues will take on Pateadores, after So Cal Blues defeated KC Fusion 3-0, while Pateadores advanced past KC Scott Gallagher 1-0.

Semifinal matches for the ECNL Girls Regional League Finals will take place on Friday, with teams one win away from advancing to play for an ECNL Regional League Championship on Sunday.
